Welcome
Maria’s Hope is a parent-based volunteer organization that provides emotional support and mentoring services to parents with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. We support parents of premature babies, babies born with special health care needs, and those who have experienced a loss due to these or other complications through one-on-one conversations. We support all parents, independent of their race, nationality or religion. We do not provide medical advice or offer medical services.
Our Mentors
What We Do
We offer one-on-one conversations in a comfortable setting that allow you to share your NICU experience with someone who has been down a similar road. Our mentors will be a listening ear and help guide you in your NICU journey.
We will meet you at your baby's bedside, in the NICU waiting area, in Panera Bread or outside, if weather permits.
All information is kept confidential, unless the health of the baby or a family member is in question.
Look for our card in your NICU admission folder or ask your nurse for our contact information.
